gOS on Ubuntu Gutsy.
Many of you will know that gOS it is a personalized version of Enlightenment and, besides to contain all the applications standard of a distro linux, introduce also link directed to services which Google docs, Gmail, Facebook, Blogger and thus via. Tuxmind has tried to install it on Ubuntu Gutsy;
here the procedure:
- To open the /etc/apt/sources.list rows typing from root I sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
- To add the repository of gOS:
deb http://packages.thinkgos.com/gos/ painful main
deb-src http://packages.thinkgos.com/gos/ painful main - To import the public key:
wget http://www.thinkgos.com/files/gos_repo_key.asc
I sudo apt-key add gos_repo_key.asc - Update the cache apt with I sudo apt-get update
- At last to install:
I sudo apt-get install greenos-desktop
Now it is possible to select Enlightenment e17 from the window of login.
