The future is now!
Beginning this post with large thanks to Alexit, for means of which they have come to acquaintance of a new one, revolutionary plan: a plugin that it succeeds to integrate and to make to interact WiiMote (the controller of the console Niintendo Wii) and compiz-fusion. To speak about this thing makes me detail appeals to because, to beyond the comprehensible fibrillation that it provokes in the fans of technology, it introduces of the even ethical implications: thoughts to the advantages that would draw the disabili persons from a device that allows to command the PC with simple movements of the head…
All it has taken to the way from the idea of a sviluppatore American, a sure Johnny Chung Lee, than using of the Led to infrared with to the WiiMote it is successful to construct an able system to find the movements of the head and to command with they the screen. This job has been resumed from two sviluppatori of compiz-fusion (SmSpillaz and Oasisgames) that they have created Wiitrack plugin that integral a job of Johnny Chung Lee exactly with compiz.
Here the video that us extension the first steps of this technology:
A little of technicality:
Wiitrack uses the position of the head, calculated from the positions of two sources of light to infrared and from their distance, in order to outside distort the matrix of OpenGL projection through the use of a Frustum calculation (also known like “Perspective Center”)…
Calm they are not driven crazy, is written how much on the wiki of reference of the plan, while others important resources for who wanted to contiunare to follow this argument are the forum, and naturally this blog, since us of it we will occupy with passion and enthusiasm. I do not see the hour to try it, tabto more than for who he compiles compiz from git the plugin is already accessible. You hold of eye this address and you say what to me of it thoughts, which are your impressions and above all launch your proposals on the fields of application of this wonder…
