Start of an application stand halo from the bar of menus.
This tip explains like creating a connection in the bar of menu to an application stand halo, that is that it does not have need of installation. For example I have taken Floola, a small program for the management of ipod video that, exactly, does not need of installation (the normal procedure of start is $…./. /Floola). After to have carried out the download from the http://www.floola.com/ site and decompressed the archives, I have posizionato the Floola rows in the /opt/floola/ folder.
Now we create the rows Floola .desktop (gedit /usr/share/applications/Floola.desktop) and become part these lines:
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Floola
Comment=ipod tool
Exec=/opt/floola/Floola
Icon=/opt/floola/floola.png
Type=Application
Categories=Application; AudioVideo; Video;
We save and from the menu applications you will notice your beautiful connection.
P.S. The icona floola.png you can unload it from Internet (enough to try on google image).
