To compile Kdenetwork
After amarok 2 the next step in the construction of mine kde 4,1 (nearly) super ones modernized to the last version of development available has been the compilation of kdenetwork (kopete, krdc, kpp, kget…). As usual, problems! Here the error:
conflicting return type specified for `virtual bool XMPP:: SimpleSASLContext:: waitForResultsReady (int) '
The solution is that to cancel libqca and libqca-dev and to install compiling them directly them from kdesupport.
Here like it is made:
- to posizionarsi in $… /kde4/kdesupport/qca and to type svn checkout svn: /anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/kdesupport/qca;
- in order to compile the qca unloaded from svn is necessary to install qconf:
- to unload the last version of qconf from here;
- to decompress the archives and from… /qconf-1.4 executing:
./configure
make
make install - to return in $… /kde4/kdesupport/qca and to type qconf; one will create thus the rows configure necessary to the compilation;
- now we compile the qca with more the classic of the methods already used to point 2 of this guide:
./configure
make
make install - fact this to execute kdesvn-build kdenetwork and all would have to go to place.
I have used it conditions them because in reality I have had an other disadvantage, but is not said must happen also to you. In short with the normal compilation the contained bookcases in the folder… /kdesupport/qca/lib have not been copied in usr/lib, thus have made it I manually.
All to wonder!
