Dragbox

The line of commando and the desktop are both sophisticated interfaces, but they are above all two separate truths. However the characteristic perhaps more important than this program is its ability to drag and to release the rows. Evidencing a text string, the list or name directory of rows in the commando line, is possible to drag and to copy directly in Dragbox; from drop within an application with the same mechanism of the notes can here be made.
An other great characteristic of this extraordinary software is the possibility to execute a commando contained in a shelf being passed it through xargs. As an example, if the backup is wanted to be executed of the contents of the shelf of default, the commando uses itself dragbox -0 | xargs -0 backupname.Tar.gz in order to create rows tar. Using Dragbox in this way, it is possible to execute quickly a commando using the rows and the directory that they are visible on the desktop, without the disturbance of having to remember or localizing on the commando line.
In order to conclude, Dragbox is only to version 0.3.0, and like any application still in phase of premature development, it has some limitations. However on the whole a lot is sure an application not only works them, useful to “niubbo” that it litigates with the commando line, but also to the customer who regularly moves between the same line and the desktop.
