You knew that the women love linux? You knew that there are created communities in order to supply technical and social support for the customers of Linux?
Well, the most known between these is LinuxChix, founded in 1998-99 from Deb Richardson in order to create an alternative to “locker room mentality” (lett. mentality from dressing room) of other Groups of Linux customers and forum. LinuxChix is initially a mailing list of electronics, but very soon it becomes a community with members in various nations. The increase of this mailing list has carried to the creation of others mailing list, that they begin with techtalk for technical arguments and topics of debate of the women on political issues. LinuxChix is overturns has known it when ZDNet has published an article on it, that it has been cross-mailed on Slashdot. In 2006, LinuxChix has inspired the creation of the WikiChix, wiki and a mailing list for editor feminine.
