The release of Hardy Heron with to the support from amd/ati to the cards of the series x1300/x1550 has represented for the undersigned a strong push to the abandonment of the version “antismanettamento” of windows (seen) on my PC desktop, in favour exactly of the airone.    before the time that is assembled me a computer I have watched on the site ati where there were the driver for linux, I do not say what I thought to you when I have bought, a week after, a card nvidia because the driver ati they were taking in turn, if you had not had haste to buy an other card, with those money I would have, them defendants… I have not rivenduto the traditrice card, it is unknown never, have made badly, now is worth less of the members with which it is made.

   we know well that from when ati has been acquired from amd it has been a remarkable improvement of the quality of the driver, the introduction of the support to aiglx etc…, however nobody, and I emphasize nobody, is successful up to now to make to work sapphire x1550.

   I have as soon as acquired geforce 6,200 agp (mine motherboard supports only this bus), than it will not have the power of the x1550, but, as regards installation, I assure to you, is a godsend.

   Blank to all. I am an owner of a Sapphire X1550. They are deprived of hope: with Ubuntu 7,10 it worked not well (, but it had a minimum of acceleration 3D). With Ubuntu the 8,04 and new ones driver not are towards making it to work if not with the vesa.
   Advised to me to acquire a Nvidia or to attend of the driver working for ATI?

   you have tried to install envyng? it finds directly in the repository of ubuntu and it unloads, it installs and it shapes the driver to you in automatic rifle.

   Hello, for the black screen with a Ati HD2600 Agp I have resolved thus.
   It installs driver the owners,
   from the recovery mode, that is as root it types the commando: aticonfig - max-gart-size 512 and from the shipment ..... as for magic making the reboot with hardy all it has worked ..... not own to wonder but has worked .....
   The 3D it works, and making some settaggio of X the serveur they are obtained turned out than optimal more
