My portable one is in net with the desktop on which there is Ubuntu 8,04 and to the boot it was stopped for approximately 3 minuteren to the control of sendmail and sm-client, thus they have gone to control the /var/log/maillog rows and I have seen the following error:

May 15 11:29: 35 maddomlinux sendmail [2149]: unable to qualify my own Domain Name (maddomlinux) - using short name

Solution: it has been enough to editare the /etc/hosts rows and to insert the line:

208.69.34.132 maddomlinux.local maddomlinux
