We are to the final struck ones of a lot yearned for Kde 4.1. Today it has been released the RC1 (release candidates 1) through the testing of which the sviluppatori head for the correction of “get worm-eaten” remained. To say the truth the famous bug is only and regards the Nvidia cards that introduce remarkable rallentamenti during the resize and the switching of the windows. However the problem would have to be resolved to short with the release of new driver from Nvidia.
The installation of this development release can happen through the usual compilation from sources (kdesvn-build…), or with the packages precompiled already present in the repo of distro the more important. As an example on Opensuse 11 enough at this point famous one one-click-install in order to install the kde4-base, while for Debian it is necessary to follow the instructions to this link and for Kubuntu Hardy it must insert in sources.list the following line: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu hardy main and to make sure itself of to have installed the package kubuntu-kde4-desktop.
At last the liveCD based here on Opensuse.
Sapete a thing? I prefer kdesvn-build, the compilation is more thrilling and sure important under the didactic aspect. In short a lot is learned, has the possibility to appreciate the enormous job carried out from the team of sviluppatori and, perhaps, but here the varialbili stretch to ±°, avoid also the usual sfilza of insulsaggini shot from “tester” of the last hour.
