Test on OpenOffice 3 RC1
OpenOffice is, to my opinion, one of the strategic plans of all the universe of the free software and is also the key in order to unhinge the dominion of uncle Bill. The installation is easy, enough to make the download from the page of the site of Sun of the apt package own distribution, scompattarlo and to install it from shell with all its dependencies:
- cd ~/Desktop/OOO300_m5_native_packed-3_en-US.9350;
- I sudo dpkg - the DEBS/*.deb.
This type of installation does not add nothing to our menu of the applications, but we can manually make creating it a launcher on the Writing desk with the key dx of the mouse, inserting the /opt/openoffice.org3/program/soffice commando and the icona that more us garba.
It is wanted to be removed? Enough to eliminate all the packages previously installed with the commando to point 2:
